Medical Emergency Teams saving 12,000 Australian lives each year

South Western Sydney Clinical School's Professor Ken Hillman has spent the past 20 years developing the Medical Emergency Team system to reduce the number of deaths in Australian hospitals. As he puts it, it's not rocket science, but it's now saving 12,000 Australian lives every year and has been implemented in most hospitals in the western world.
