Record Number of PhD Graduands

On June 14th, nine PhD candidates will graduate from their programs - a record number for the School. Congratulations to the candidates and their supervisors:

The Cancer Institute NSW - Early Career Fellowship

Ying Zu has been awarded an Early Career Fellowship of $572,000 by the Cancer Institute to study how nanoplasmonic sensors can be used to diagnose non-invasive breast cancer.

Paper of the Year Award by Palliative Medicine

Ebony Lewis from the Simpson Centre has been awarded the Palliative Medicine Paper of the Year recently at the European Congress of Palliative Care in Madrid. The paper, entitled Evidence still insufficient that advance care documentation leads to engagement of healthcare professionals in end-of-life discussions: A systematic review can be found here
