South Western Sydney Clinical School

Congratulations to Dr Kamal Singh - University Medalist

Please join the School in congratulating all of the South Western Sydney Clinical School students who graduated last week. We have had exceptional results this year with SWSCS contributing 30% of all those students who achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) in the top cohort.

In particular, we would like to congratulate Dr Kamal Singh who received the University Medal in Medicine. The University Medal is the most distinguished academic award to be bestowed on an undergraduate. The bronze medal is recognition by the University of outstanding academic achievement at the undergraduate level.

Kamal also received the School's Ian Webster Medal at our recent student dinner, along with the Prize for Surgery, and received a Dean's Award for the best overall performance in the MD program.

This is an outstanding achievement for one of our students and recognises Kamal's considerable work. It is also testament to the learning environment in south western Sydney and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our academic and research staff they have contributed to academic medicine in 2015.

All the best to you and your family over the festive season and we look forward to working with you in the new year.
